The MTV Awards held on Sunday was certainly full of surprises. Britney Spear's much-discussed comeback performance was not the hype that was expected. She kicked off the Video Music Awards with an underwhelming performace of "Gimme More" which fizzled out and is probably forgotten by all as I post this.
However, former Pamela Anderson flames Kid Rock and Tommy Lee did add some Hollywood excitement to the VMA with a battle of the fists. It was reported that the two traded words in a heated exchange during Alicia Keys' performance.
MTV VJ Sway said during the post-show that he saw Kid Rock walk up to the 44-year-old Motley Crue drummer, who was sitting next to Sean "Diddy" Combs, and "deck him." However, another eyewitness, rap producer Rich Nice, said although Kid Rock was the one who threw the punches, Lee appeared to be the instigator. Security guards let Kid Rock stay for the rest of the show but Lee was escorted out.

The VMA night however, belonged to winners Rihanna and Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake. Congrates guys!
