Matt Damon Sexiest Man Alive 2007

Ocean's 11 star Matt Damon has been named by People Magazine as 2007’s sexiest man alive. The award was started in 1985 with Mel Gibson as the first title holder.

Damon was not too convinced that he deserved the award and wrote People a letter declining the title. Staff writer Ericka Souter told the Early Show that Damon had explained in the letter that he is of the opinion that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would be a much sexier choice. However, his humble, humorous letter only served to reinforce the magazine editors' choice. Instead, Damon was persuaded to accept the title and he also granted permission to the magazine to reprint his letter in their latest issue.

"You just gave an aging suburban dad ego boost of a lifetime," Damon wrote.

Rain Getting Married?

A couple of days back, a gossip website reported that the very famous singer Rain, was seen buying a groomsmen gift at a shop catering to wedding gifts. Since then, there has been rumours all over the internet speculating that Rain was planning for a secret wedding.

However, when I checked back with the website again today, the news had been confirmed as a ridiculous rumour. Apparently, it was not Rain who visited the store but a lookalike who wanted to make it big impersonating him!

Britney Spears' Visitation Rights Suspended

Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon recently ruled that troubled pop star Britney Spears may not see 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James - who are in the custody of Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline - until she complies with a court order.

In the past, Gordon had reprimanded Spears for not complying with other court orders, emphasizing the fact that she lost primary custody to Federline due to her own choices. Spears was ordered to undergo random weekly drug testing due even though she had gone for addiction treatment as it was proven that she was engaged in habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol.

Celebrity Bling

Do you know what a celebrity bling is? It's a new word I learnt and it actually means celebrity jewelry (a term coined in the early '90s). If you take one good look at celebrities in the hip hop industry in particular, you will noticed that many of them adorn themselves with eye popping jewelry.

Where it used to be sheer glamour that made celebrities sparkle on the red carpet, these days it seems that the twinkle is more likely to radiate from the mounds of bling that stars pack on.
