You're The Voice By John Farnham

We have

The chance to turn pages over

We can write what we want to write

We gotta make ends meet before we get much older

We're all someone's daughter

We're all someone's son

How long can we look at each other

Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice try and understand it

Make a noise and make it clear

Whoa oh oh

We're not gonna live in silence

We're not gonna live in fear

Whoa oh oh

This time

We know we all can stand together

We have the power to be powerful

Believing we can make it better

We're all someone's daughter

We're all someone's son

How long can we look at each other

Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice try and understand it

Make a noise and make it clear

Whoa oh oh

We're not gonna live in silence

We're not gonna live in fear

I've always enjoyed John Farnham's original version of "You're The Voice" and Heart's rendition of the same song was equally awesome. However, American Idol wannabe, David Archuleta's updated version sounded even better to me. Ok, so I might be a little bias as I do heart the kid.

I've included the original version of the song on YouTube (and also the lyrics) here for your listening pleasure. If you want to download the i-tunes version sang by Archuleta, hop over to American Idol's site.
