My guess was right this time. I'll spare you the curiosity, it's Chikezie who got the boot for this round. That wasn't such a surprise, was it? Looking back at his last performance of “If Only For One Night”, these were the comments from the judges:
Randy said : "This went back to a very old-school kind of, just . . . I don't know, man. It wasn't hip and cool. It wasn't that Chizezie vibe that I love with all that energy; it was just kind of boring for me, dog."
Paula, on the other hand, thought Chikezie's performance was "original". "I disagree, Randy, I disagree. . . . You are who you are, [Chikezie], you're a really great singer."
Simon said : "I think you sang it well. Having said that, I thought the performance was actually very cheesy. Putting your hand into the audience, it's all very . . . very. It's true."
Sorry dude, at least you made it to the Top Ten.
