This movie is adapted from acclaimed author Richard Matheson's classic novel. I Am Legend follows Robert Neville (Will Smith), the last man on Earth as he struggles to survive while fending off the infected bloodsucking survivors of a manmade virus.
Thrilling, chilling and personally, my favourite "vampire" movie so far but the majority of the credit must really got to Will Smith. There is even a little humour in the horror film where you see Robert's dog exercising on a treadmill next to him. The star of Fresh Prince of Bel Air is definitely the right choice as far as casting was concerned. So, it is really not surprising that I Am Legend turned out to be one of the 2007's biggest openings with a shocking $76 million estimated take over the weekend to top the box office. My rating for this one is 8.5 out of 10.
