Unlike her former best friend Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie secured an early release from prison last Thursday. Out of the four day sentence, Richie actually served 82 minutes of it.
In a statement, her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said, "Nicole was aware that most people with sentences similar to hers are booked and released in a matter of hours and she was hoping to be treated like everyone else. Nevertheless, she was prepared to serve her entire four-day sentence had the Sheriff's Department required her to do so."
Hey Paris, that's one up for Richie. Now, who's the one that's gloating?
