Scoot! Don't Come Here No More!

Today is Monday again and I have something to get off my chest. I'm totally pissed off with some people. They ask about the blogging platforms that you use, yadda yadda yadda and then later, sign up themselves but refuse to put you as referral even though you are the first to let them know of your experience and give them advise about them. It's like the referral money is coming out of that person's pocket!!!

I myself have signed up via other's referral as long as I heard it first from them and I've purchased things from some blogger's ad on their site, hoping that they will earn via click through rate. And more often than not, I don't broadcast it out to the blogger whom I have helped.

Not that the referral money is a lot but come on, we are all trying to earn through blogging, and a little extra does brighten my day. What goes around comes around, so I hope you'll get the same treatment from others. You know who you are, so get lost from my site!

Monday Blues

I hate Mondays, yep I really do! I have no particular reason but it just feels like I have been programmed to hate Mondays. Lol. I don't do the usual blog hopping or commenting on Mondays if I could. Every little thing will appear negative to me so, it's better to zip my mouth :P Instead, I just read blog feeds.

Oh yes, I'm one of those weird people that feels like the whole world owes me on a Monday :D So, never ever, ever bug me on a Monday, I'm haywire at this time!

Payback Time MS.COPYCAT

This copycat often visit my blogs and I even chatted with her many times in my blog's chatboxes. Many of us mommy bloggers welcome her into the blogosphere because she was quite new to it. How did she thank all those mommy bloggers who supported her? By COPYING THEIR POSTS AND PASSING IT OFF AS HER OWN, INCLUDING PPP POSTS!!!

When I read the first warning post by 5xMom, I was shocked but hopped over to the Copy Cat's blog to see whether there was any apology. She did put up a short apology post but from the way she wrote, she wasn't even admitting that she did it. Neither was she remorseful from the MSN chat that others had posted when they confronted her on the issue.

I cannot imagine why a person would resort to plagiarizing blog posts other than using it as an easy way out to earn money and get traffic to her blog. Not everyone can write well but at least, we put our own effort and ideas into our blog posts. I noticed that some PPP posties do not write perfect English but they get accepted as well. So, what's the excuse here?

I feel sorry for her for being a copy cat and a liar and not admitting her fault initially. She can hide from us in the blogosphere but can she hide from people who know her from her photos in her blog? Shame on u, copy cat!!!

Confess, apologize and write your own posts from now on. Perhaps we will forgive you eventually if you are sincere.

Shhhhh.....

I wrote to Nuffnang asking for an explanation on what qualifies us bloggers for the different "Bands" which they had specified in our "Earnings" section. This is the reply I got:

Unfortunately we do not yet disclose the actual schedule of our blogger bands. Sooner or later we may decide to make it public, but we've learned that disclosing such confidential information now may have negative implications for Nuffnang.

Needless to say, such reply does not impress me. If other advertising networks like PPP can make clear to us on the different segmentation such as PR, Alexa, Technorati which results in different amount offered, I don't understand a need to keep this confidential.

I will experiment with one more offer from Nuffnang (if given the chance) and if the payment is still like selling old newspaper (as some of you put it), that will be the end of the story.

Edited to add: I speak my mind, so if Nuffnang wanna ban me, it's their loss :P

Weather No Good

Today, my weather's no good. I call it "CLOUDY" aka "MENDUNG" in BM. Why leh?
  • Lack of sleep. Why leh?
  • Last night got visitors. Who leh?
  • Some freaking sicko tried to break into our house. WHAT???!!!

It was around 2.30am and hubby being the light sleeper heard a car stopping nearby. Fyi, this is not the first time. There was once a year ago when my car was almost broken into but the sound of the broken car window woke us up. Sorry, I'm digressing....

From our bedroom window upstairs, hubby observed the visitor who came in a Kelisa and even saw the car plate number. One fella came out from the back and was walking towards our gate, carrying something that looked like a tool. I guess he was probably gonna use that to break into our car. Before he could get nearer, hubby made some noise to shoo the guy and I think he can see my hubby standing at the window. So, he turned back and walked slowly back to the car. The nerve of the sicko!!! No indication of fear at all as he took his time.

Hubby only woke me up after they had gone and both of us could not sleep after that. No, we did not call the police as we are confident they will not be nearby after we spotted them. We also do not feel it is any good to make a police report even though we have the car plate number. For all you know, it's a fake one. Knowing how our blue uniform personnel in our country work, it's a waste of effort. Hai....can only harap ourselves...

My Hard Work Kaput

Last night, I took more than half an hour to "pen" a post that I wanted to share with everyone. Nolah, not a paid post. I wrote and rewrote and chose my words carefully. I think the whole thing consisted of more than 500 words of "sweat & blood". When I was ready to post and hit the submit button, the stupid internet connection was intermittently down. So, my post kaput, lost in space.

At that point of time, the only words that came out of my mouth was MCB! MCB! Hey, I was writing close to midnight you know, sacrificing my sleep for that post....sheesh...I dunno whether I can get back that same passion for that post to rewrite it. 2nd time round is not the same anymorelah. It's been sometime since I felt so strongly about something I needed to post....hai....

Talk About Service!

CNY is 3 days away and we are doing everything last minute. Yesterday, Lorenzo staff were supposed to come over and clean our sofa at 9.00am. The appointment was made one week ago. I took leave and waited and waited. No one came. No one called. And the stupid showroom only opened at 12.00 noon!!!

I finally managed to get the staff around 12.30pm and she apologized profusely. I demanded she send somebody over by that day and after 15 minutes, she said the earliest time was 4.00pm. Oklah, I was taken by her "sorry, sorry". At 4.15pm, no one came. Then, I called directly to the staff's handphone number (which she gave me earlier) and was told that she was on the way to my place.

Finally, she showed up by herself at 4.30pm and I was surprised as normally Lorenzo will send 2 or 3 staff over. She did the cleaning herself and everything was fine. When I paid her, she did not give me a receipt but I did not asklah. At the back of my mind, I was wondering whether it was going into her personal account. But I couldn't really be bothered as long as the sofa is cleaned! But Lorenzo's service sucks big time. If I had other choice, I would not have bothered with giving them a second chance.

Alexa Ranking

Two of my blogs got a big fat zero on Alexa Ranking and because of that, I am unable to take some highly paid opps. Today, it was a $35 deal *sob sob*

I can honestly say, I do not know what Alexa Ranking is and how it works. I only heard the figure can actually be manipulated and is not really accurate. If anyone care to enlighten me about this, I'll really appreciate it.

No Paid Post

There's bugs, bugs and bugs everywhere at PPP after the system upgrade. It seems that nobody is able to submit opps due to one error or another. Tempers are flaring and members are somewhat upset over this long wait.

I'm a bit frustrated but since I am not alone in this, cannot complain too much lah. Afterall, we are earning a decent income from PPP, which is a free service to us. Hence, through better or worse, must stand by them *humming tune of Stand By Me*

Bonus...bonus...where are you?

While most people are already spending the fruits of their labour, i.e. BONUS.....I am still sitting here pondering when I am getting mine, that is if I am getting any at all *sigh*

It has always been like this for the past 10 years. Nobody in the management group have ever been so silent until the time when bonus and increments are about to be declared. DEAD SILENCE, I tell you. This is the time when I wish there were some rumours hinting at the percentage. Haiya.........for the sake of annoying me to bits and pieces, tell me, what have you spent your bonus on?

Stewpid! Stewpid!

The stupidest or unluckiest thing happened to me this morning! I was sitting at my workplace and my handphone was placed on the CPU of my desktop. There was a piece of paper underneath my phone. So, in the process of retrieving the paper.......errr.....I dragged the paper from underneath the phone instead of taking my phone away and then take the paper. In that nanosecond, I was like watching a slow motion movie.....my phone happily slid off the CPU right into the mug of Nescafe that I had made. I watched in horror as my phone floated for 2 seconds in the mug before I quickly rescued it.

Too late! I opened the front and back covers, took out the batt and wiped off all the coffee, put back everything and all I see was bright light on the phone's LCD display. Arrrrgggghhhhhhh....stewpid! stewpid me! I repeated the dismantling and putting back once more but the same thing happened. I could have kicked myself.

I remembered one of my office buddy and quickly called him for a rescue mission. Upon arrival at the office, he told me DO NOT try to power on your phone when it just got soaked. So, everyone remember...something new to learn here. He did some operation on my handphone and cleaned up all the water inside the motherboard. Test, test, finally it functioned!!!! Yay I was soooooo relief........a pat on the back to my hero!

Men Are Indeed From Mars

I am not a person who likes to air my dirty linen in public but if I were to bottle up my frustration tonight, I would probably cause an earthquake followed by a 10 feet tall tsunami. Rather than causing a natural disaster, here I am typing my heart away.....Anger. Hurt. Resentment. Sadness. Feeling Hopeless. These are some of the emotions I am having now.....

MAN = The victim + Always Right + Clueless that the mistake is so serious + snoring away as I fume in silence

If you are craning your neck to read something juicy here, this is as far as the story goes. If you are a follower of my blog, you'd have realized that I am in fact an introvert. So, you see, I do not talk to any of my friends about such issues.

I just needed an avenue to vent my frustration. Blogging about it helps (throwing things does too but I do not want any regrets later on ;P)

Credit Card Fraud (Part II)

When I arrived in KL yesterday morning, I received another call from my credit card company. Unfortunately for me, another internet transaction was done via my credit card again. I was furious as they had told me the card was already blocked from further online purchases. Their excuse was, I quote "They did it another way". Yeah, right! As if I am so dumb about banking issues. Hellooooo....I was a former bankerlah. I know how things work behind the scene and the fact is they did not do a good job blocking my card from internet access.

This time, they will replace my card with a new one. This means I totally cannot use the card until I received the new one. Thank Goodness, I had another card with me. Else, traveling without a credit card is such inconvenience. Morale of the story : Do not rely on one credit card only. Ideally, have one Visa and one Master.

Communication Cut Off

Ok, this is another rambling. I've not been blog hopping partly due to the slow internet speed and partly due to my blogroll has gone invisible. There's no PPP post either as I can't access PPP. *sob sob* There goes my New Year bonus.

I feel like there's a communication breakdown and have managed to keep in touch with some bloggers via sms only. I guess I should not be complaining over this petty little issue as compared to the disasters around the world. Ok, I shall zip my lips for now :P

Office Cleaners

Over the past 2 years plus since I transferred to my current location, we've changed 4 cleaners. I absolutely have no idea why this is happening to us.

a) Cleaner 1 : Very good, very efficient, keeps to herself, works without asking. After a week, she was back to her original location due to convenience of transportation.

b) Cleaner 2 : Stayed the longest, close to 9 months. Initially, she appeared ok and I even thought of asking her to babysit for me. Thank Goodness, I found out she was a bit short circuit later. She started accusing people of peeping at her in the toilets, scolding her behind her back, claiming my male colleagues were infatuated with her. Errr....problem was she was already in her late 40's. We requested the cleaning company to transfer her to another location.

c) Cleaner 3: Grandma in her late 40's to early 50's. A little lazy and does not work without further prompting. Only does the necessary. Was absent about a week ago and the hubby reported that she was acting weird lately, like being cursed or something like that. Therefore, we are now stuck with....

d) Cleaner 4 : Too early to say....

Problem is everytime we change cleaner, I have to do the briefing cum orientation for them. I really hate doing it! Grrr......

Appraisals

It's year end appraisal time again. I hate it so much as these procedure are so fake. To old timers like me, we know that the bosses have already decided on the rating to give you so, the interview is just an act. There is no point arguing or debating about it as everything has been predetermined.

I wish I could just tell my boss to shove it up his a** as I'm pretty pissed off with the rating I got. I've been working my tails off and traveling so frequently to cover other colleague's duties and I don't get any appreciation at all. I know my immediate superior tries her best as she gave me a good rating but my manager actually slashed it down.

Nevermind, if my other ventures do work, I'll make sure I give a 24 hours notice for my resignation.

No After Sales Service

Hubby recently purchased a computer from one of my relative. I was the one doing the price comparison and since my relative gave an equally competitive pricing and blood being thicker than water, I requested hubby to get from him.

Couple of months down the line, I noticed that one of my USB port does not read. I called my relative up and told him about it. He told me he was busy and would check this out for me when he was free. I waited a couple of days and he had not called. I was pissed off.

I refused to call him again but instead informed his brother who worked in the same company as I did. I trust the brother did convey the message as he was a responsible person. Todate, my problem has not been fixed. I dare not inform hubby that the USB port was not working.

This really taught me a lesson : NEVER buy anything from your relative!!!
