I Hate Me

I met a an ex-colleague of mine whom I haven't seen for more than 10 years and guessed what? She does not look a year older! This lady is married with two children and is hitting the big 40 in 2007. I just can't believe how some people have such good genes, that is apart from the grooming at hair saloons.

It just makes me feel inferior, looking like the Ah Soh that I am and the fact that I am a couple of years younger than her does not help. She was once a good friend, so I did not really put my head in the sand (like an Ostrich) when I saw her. However, people like her makes me feel so defeated in terms of fighting ageing and going against gravity *sigh*.

Perhaps, being a mommy had made me drop my grooming standards but it is not a good excuse *scowls*. I need to rethink and do something to bring up my self esteem else I'll hate myself for looking like this *Jots down in notebook* NEW YEAR RESOLUTION NO.1
